Big Baby Black Oyster Catcher

One of the 3 Black Oyster Catcher chicks that their mother paraded right by me on the beach. I zoomed in a bit on this one to get as much detail as possible. Both the beaks and eyes are black when hatched but this one is getting fairly large and the beak is turning orange. One of the things that impresses me is the monster, dinosaur legs! Since their mother didn’t show any fear, they were completely unconcerned about my presence, even though I was swinging the camera around and changing positions.

A very nice study of the oystercatcher chick. Good detail and I like the setting. Those are large legs!

Very cool, Gary. Superb detail. Maybe add a touch of canvas on top?
