We spotted a small group of elk just inside the western side of Rocky Mountain NP. This bull was heading towards a group of elk cows. He was in heavy shadows.

Nice looking Bull, John. It’s great that they eye is in focus too. Looks cold out there…

Wonderful subject with great antlers, it is very nicely placed in the frame! If you like, you may increase the saturation of the tail area selectively.
Actually two things are not working in favour of this frame:

  • that bull is walking away from the camera &
    -a higher POV.
