Image Description

Glowing in afternoon light, this highly-fractured volcanic plug (diatreme) near the southern boundary of Monument Valley, resembles some architectural designs for newer cathedrals. Approximately 7 miles north in the background, is Agathla Peak, 1500 feet high.

I like the comp of this scene.

Thank you @Ron_Pullen for your comment. This was a special afternoon with a storm passing through the deep background over Monument Valley so I could include Agathla Peak in the background with dramatic skies.
