Nice catch - the face and eyes are tack-sharp. Great NR at a 6400 ISO.

Perfect focus where it needs to be, David. While more depth of field would have been nice, you already were pushing the iso pretty severely. I like the expression.

A cool image & nice expressions!
You may reduce the blacks & more DOF would have helped the frame.
I would love to see the more overall canvas, if you have.

I’m jealous. Hoping to find one of these in southern AZ next month. Beautifully sharp where it counts. I really like the composition and the expression. The only small nit is that his foot looks a little odd. I’m not sure if that’s just from the DOF or perhaps trying to bring up the shadows. But I’d love to have a shot like this.
