This is stunning. Very well composed and executed. Love the colours. A great start to the new year!

Wow, it looks like it’s raining gold . It’s a very unique shot and I like it a lot. Nice catch.

Simplicity at its finest. Well done!

Love it!! Liquid gold! Hope it’s a good omen for the new year.

This is really neat! It looks like a bronzed fossil!!! The textures are fantastic, and the colors are great. You did a really good job of controlling any glare from the wetness of the rocks and leaves.
Awesome!

Beautiful, I love the colours and the even colour throughout the image. It makes for a stunning image!

Todd,

Love, Love, Love this. I’ve found this type of scene only a few times and I just find it fascinating to find the leaves plastered like they are wall paper. To top this off, the arrangement is just terrific.

I especially love the highlights, the sheen, or even glow that has been captured. The golden bronze hues are just beautiful.

Only minor nit/suggestion. You might consider desaturating the greens in the LR corner, just to keep those golden tones complete. Otherwise, this deserves a print on metal or acrylic!

Lon

A beautiful contrast of textures!

Oooh, gorgeous! What a way to start the new year! I love the way you caught the light on the leaves, just so to really highlight the veining. I agree with Lon on the greens in the LRC, as they catch the eye.

I don’t know if you’re into drama, but I could see bringing out the leaves even more by darkening the rock background. I couldn’t resist trying (hope you don’t mind), and may have overdone it, but here’s what I was thinking.

I think that looks great! Thank you. Burning down the rocks works well. (This is what I love about NPN, helpful advice.)

I am rather late to this one, but I have to say that you are really into a good start for 2023 this being your first image of the year. I really like the texture of the wet rock together with the pattern of the two leaves. Often you may think of having color contrast/separation, but here it works very well having the same color tones in the leaves as well as the rock BG. The colors are very well treated, avoiding to much saturation. The crop is good, including enough but not too much of the rock. A more cliché composition would have been to place the leaves diagonally in the frame, but I think your choice is the better one.
To me everything technical seems very good, nothing to improve.
