Description
I was at Newport Beach California watching and photographing the Pelicans, is this a Brown Pelican. They were diving for fish over and over, lots of them. It was enjoyable watching them for a few hours late in the day.
Specific Feedback
Cropping a question, lot of room to do so. Does he need more room on the right. I darken the waters just a bit to see if I could bring out the subject. Comments welcome.

Nice detail in the pelican, Dean. I think you could give the bird a bit more room all the way around, and your instinct agrees with my taste that that right wing tip is perilously close to the edge. It won’t need much more room on the right, but a little bit would help for my taste.
Yes, nice detail on the Pelican. In addition to Dennis’s comments. The exposure (light) of the bird and water are close so I’d suggest reducing the exposure of the water a bit making the subject pop a bit more.

Nice capture and good repost, but now a little more on the left would feel good. Feels like an unusual pose as I’d expect them to be diving at a steeper angle, so added interest there. Darkening the water was a good idea.
Interesting pose - well caught. Rework looks good even though I agree with more room on the left now.
