Sandipan,

This is wonderful. The colors work s well together. The placement and facing of the elephant is exceptional. My only nit, is I wish the few wildebeest on the right were not there. Makes me want to go to Africa.

Thank you Youssef. Glad you liked it.

Hi Sandipan,
I love this composition, with the mountain, the layers (grass, treeline, mountain and sky) and this huge elephant so small in the frame. To me, it’s that element, big things made small (even the trees), that make this image special. That and the “fully facing us” pose. The wildebeest give it some realistic context, but they would be easy enough to remove if that’s within your photographic practice.

I think the horizon is tilted a little. A slight clockwise rotation would get it level and keep that elephant from leaning to the left. I might also crop a bit off the top to get rid of the bottom edge of cloud that peaks in along that upper right edge and disrupts the otherwise blue sky above the mountain.

@Marylynne_Diggs Hi Marylynne, I greatly appreciate your feedback. I completely agree that the bottom edge of the cloud peeking in was a bit distracting. Here is the edited version with a slight crop from the top and a leveled horizon.

Beautiful frame and repost is certainly better.
If this was mine, I would reduce the blues, darken the grassland and wouldn’t lift the shadows so much from the elephant.
