Dear Joao,
Thanks for posting this image. I think it works quite well in several respects. The colors — mostly cool and receding blue and warm orange – support the composition very well: The orange leaves create a half circle, and the trunks behind it form a pattern of radiation from a center located right behind this half circle. Well seen and processed.
Joao, I simply love your work and this one is a quiet gem. There is, in the midst of the chaos of twisting branches, a strong sense of structured form. The tonal differentiation between the larger, darker foreground branches, and the lighter, filigreed back ground branches punctuated by spots of brighter sky, is marvellous and subtle. Of course the light on the fading leaves is perfect and evokes for me an almost mournful sense of loss and letting go. Beautifully moody and expertly seen and crafted, this is a photograph I could look at over and over.
This is expertly composed and very nicely processed, with subtle yet pleasing colors. My only suggestion would be to slightly burn down the URH corner as my eye keeps moving toward that bright spot. Love this!
