The caterpillar in the beak is priceless. The blurred tail did strike me, and I wondered if you could just darken it (LR adjustment brush, for example). Pedantic note: as this bird has been seen in Tashkent, it’s fairer to give it its alternative name “Eurasian Blue Tit”. Great contrast of color with that beige BG.

@Mike_Friel

Yes, I suppose I could have, if I weren’t so lazy… :slight_smile:
Corrected, thanks for the nudge
Title updated as well - credit where credit is due!

A very cute little bird Sandy. I love the colours; blues and browns are always a treat. Great pose and perch.

I didn’t notice the tail until I read your comment. It doesn’t bother me, but the rework has fixed it anyway.

Sandy excellent color sharpness and the worm gives it that little extra. The tail I prefer the original because when you darkened it you lost the blue in it. The viewer is automatically drawn to the beak and worm and that’s what is important.

Nice image of the Blue Tit, Sandy. I like the way it sits in the frame and as noted, the caterpillar is a nice touch, especially the way it’s being held so delicately in the tip of the beak. I too prefer the original tail-the bit of out of focus reed in front didn’t bother me.

Hi Sandy
Very nice looking Eurasian Blue Tit. Maybe split the difference between the original and edited post?

Beautiful looking bird, showing great colors and detail. Nice environmental aspect as well and the caterpillar is a bonus. Either tail version is okay, but maybe lighten the blue on the repost.
