IR converted Canon 5D, 50mm f/1.8. ISO 200, f/6.7, 1/90 sec. B/W conversion with Silver Efex Pro in PS. I couldn’t resist a little extra touch of mysticism with Glamour Glow.

You are on a roll with these IR images.

There certainly is a lot of mysticism in this image. Adding Glamour Glow was a great thought.

That’s an incredible image, Diane. Well done indeed. I’ll have to try this the next time I am in the CA Redwoods.

I really like the high-key feel to the image.

Another very pretty image @Diane_Miller . I’m finally learning how to recognize IR images…the dark leaves appear light and bright. You’re making me an IR fan!

Thanks everyone! @Mark_Muller, with IR things that are green (commonly sunlit leaves) are very bright, while blues (sky) are dark. Green leaves in the shade are very low-contrast so come out gray. The capture is close to monochromatic but not completely, and depending on the cutoff of the filter there is some tonal leeway.

The IR does make for some “dreamy” lighting. This view is clearly a redwood forest, but very nicely dreamy with the IR treatment.
