From "Nikon Z 105mm" to "WeMacro rail + Laowa 90mm f/2.8 2X macro lens"

I am currently doing lots of focus stacking using a 30mm extension tube with the Nikon MC 105mm lens to get more than 1:1 magnificaiton. But I get a considerable amount of distortion along the edges. As near as I can tell the motorized WeMacro rail PRO 100 + the Laowa 90mm f/2.8 2X macro lens is an excellent “replacement” that will give me much better results. [Note: My goal is to sell the Nikon 105mm macro lens to partially pay for the WeMacro rail + Laowa lens…]

Looking for any feedback that supports this transition.

Cheers, Franz
