Technical Details

I love frosty flower images like this! I’ve got two ideas. The first is one you’d have to have done in the field. I like the look of including that first leaf below a flower, so I’d probably have included all of that. It’s just slightly distracting to have it dissected by the edge of the frame. The other is to clone out the stem that exits the right side edge. Not super problematic, but might make a cleaner image. I love the muted tones you’ve gone with though! Really nice.

Very nicely done, Huw. Frost on flowers is always cool and I should get out from behind this computer and grab my camera because we do have a frost this morning. The tones are very nice in this image and I like the depth of field.

Thanks Paul - I can certainly clone out the stem.
Leaf is more problematic
Thanks for your comments

Huw: Great subject and a fine capture. Making the stem exiting the flower in the URC is about the only improvement I would counsel. The cut off leaf doesn’t bother me since you cut off enough of it that it was clearly intentional and not a mistake. I also like the OOF echo. Nicely done.>=))>

PS: Perhaps post a little bigger?
