I like the side light on the Cardinal, John, and the frosted debris in the foreground. The bright out of focus twigs and other stuff in the background are a bit of a distraction.
Wonderful detail in this Cardinal, John, and I love that you were able to capture him on the frosty ground. I agree with Dennis that it might improve the shot if you could tone down the brighter twigs, but to me it is still a good shot.
A very nice capture with great light, color and detail, John! Between the frost and the fluffed up feathers you can almost feel the cold air!
