Description
The title is slightly misleading. While it was shot during the time when the Moon was full, it was also while the Moon was being eclipsed by the Earth. This is probably my favorite place to shoot, mostly because it’s just 30 minutes from my house in Bozeman!
Specific Feedback
For some reason the mountains seem a bit out of focus on this. You have to zoom in to see it, but it bugs me a bit. There is a little bit of star trailing on the right side which I assume it because I lost alignment since this was taken after doing a 3 image pano.

A nice milky way image, Paul. We all wish for a place like that 30 minutes from our house. Lucky guy. The little bit of star trailing doesn’t bother me. It’s limited to that one area. I like that the MW mimics the landscape on the left. Image feels a little left heavy because of that, but doesn’t ruin my enjoyment of the scene.
Wow! You have a wonderful location for this kind of shot! And the skills and fortitude to make the most of it! (This must have been shot about 3 am!) The processing looks perfect and the composition and lighting are wonderful! I can’t see any softness in the mountains and if I did it wouldn’t be an issue. Excellent job of treating and assembling the exposures!
The sky is beautiful! I don’t see any softness in the mountain, but if there was, it wouldn’t bother me. I do see on the bottom left corner that part of the image blending is off, there’s a triangle shifted out of plane. I would fix that as it doesn’t look intentional. Otherwise, really excellent!
Nice catch! That’s leftover from trying to warp the top over to straighten the trees up there! I’ve shared this all over the place and hadn’t noticed it, nor had anyone else!
