Questions for Viewers

A bit of fun - using motion blur in nature photography - to try and allow a bit of flutter before the flash freezes the motion and makes it sharp.

Does it work?

You may hate it or like it - I absolutely don’t mind !! Be honest

Do you like it … or hate it

I really don’t mind - be honest.

Suggestions and critique of course welcomed !

Huw, you certainly successfully captured the “flutter” while nice and sharp eyes and face. I actually like it. I’m enjoying all of your experiments. Just too hot here and when I have been out I don’t see much of anything in my yard. Maybe this fall.

thanks @Shirley_Freeman

I like the motion blur, Huw. It suits the subject very well and still has a pleasant look. It’s an interesting technique. I’ll have to dig out a flash and see if I can make it work. Focus on the face of this butterfly is absolutely awesome.
