Going somewhere

This is an old photo but one I still love. To see the bright, shiny spec zooming off to somewhere and the signature contrail and thinking of where it may be going, all juxtaposed next to the beautiful, massive cloud going nowhere fast.

An interesting shot, John. I like the composition with the contrasting diagonals of the contrail and the face of the clouds. The down sides of the image are the over saturation of the blues and some pretty strong chroma noise in the blue sky portion (especially obvious in the large version).

Thanks. Yup, it was a Canon PowerShot G1. If I could just find the darn original image file… .

John,

Great catch! I like pushing the limits here, quite literally as the jet is about ready to pierce the edge of the frame. Greats great and positive tension in the image.

I won’t belabor the old jpg…
