David, the details in the goose and in the mound that it’s standing on look very good. The subtle textures in the cloudy sky are good also.
David, I really like this grassy texture, and how it’s faintly echoed in the plumage. If you have more clean background above to goose, I’d prefer to see a bit more cushion between the head and the edge of the frame.
A nice capture of this goose, David! Good colors and clarity plus a nice pose. I have to agree with Max that (since you were cropping anyway) a little less grass on the bottom and a little more room at the top would be a slightly better composition for me.
