Gray on the Move

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

I caught it just as was leaving that oak tree trunk. It had paused for a moment.

Specific Feedback

Its stance is a little less than vertical at the moment and I didn’t want to “lean” the tree trunk so I’ve left it with no rotation adjusting. Does it work?

Technical Details

Z9, 180-600mm lens, Nikon 1.4 TC, monopod, cropped to 2889 x 3135, 1/800th, f8.5, 915mm, ISO 4500.

I love the huge tail from this angle, Dave. I looks like the focus was on the tail, so a touch of selective sharpening on the body and the face might be a good idea.
