Moving in.

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

Was trying out a new lens at the local park using the native fox squirrels as subjects, when I noticed about a dozen grey squirrels foraging in the area, but avoiding the larger fox squirrels. The greys are recent residents of the park. Moving in from the east.

Specific Feedback

The light was mostly back light. Could I have handled this light better? differently?

Cute subject and cool pose ! You may darken the BG to make it appear better.
The subject calls for a lower POV, but I realize you were shooting from a car.

I’m just wondering RF 200-800 on R 7 is a tremendous range !!

What a nice pose this little guy gave you John. I’ve been experimenting with some minus Exposure values to tone down some of the really bright lighting conditions. That may have helped a bit? But you may also lose ground on the shadows doing that.
