A juvenile, I think. Just grazing in a parking area on Newport’s South Jetty. Seemed oblivious to the people around the area.

The pose is pretty and even though the chest is in shadow but the highlighted face makes the image for me.

Nice capture, Allen. Details and colors look very good in nice light. I might be tempted to place this slightly more to the left in the frame.
Judging by its behavior in this shot, I am guessing this is probably in the middle of migration.
Superb detail and a nice head turn, Allen. I like the lighting and the pose. To my eye, the upper background has a kind of “crunchy” look that I find a bit disturbing. I’d probably smooth it out a little with the blur brush.
