Pertinent technical details or techniques:

This is a shot I recently got of a cooperative Greater Yellowlegs (I think). The late afternoon light was good and it ignored me. I appeciated that. D500, Nikon 200-500 lens, Nikon 3.4 TC, 1/3200th, f 8.0, 700mm, ISO 1250, hand held, AI Clear, cropped to 2901 x 2246. I removed some junk from the water.

Dave, I really do like the way the reflection mirrors him, especially at the open beak. Nice details and color.

Nice capture with good detail and the open beak and nice reflection.

Very nice, Dave. I love the pose and the detail and exposure are right on. There are a bunch of dark spots on the background, particularly in the lower part of the frame that are probably debris on the water-you might clean them up.

Wonderful image, I do like the reflection a lot here, as well as the active pose ! Cheers, Hans
