The green herons have mostly migrated from my area so I’m pretty sure this will be the last image of one I will capture this year (and I’ve moved on to other subjects). I saw this one earlier this month and he/she obliged me with a fly by right across in front of the boat dock. This is probably one that was hatched and raised at the lake this year. One of my favorite birds (have you noticed?!) and I always hate to see them go but look forward to their return next spring.
