Allen, I love this - the pose, detail, bright eye and perfect BG colours are just great, and the frme is the finishing touch. I also like the unconventional crop.
Excellent image!

Beautiful image, Allen The Bushtit and it’s perch are superb and I like all the brown tones in this image. That said. the out of focus leaves on the branch behind it have a slightly muddy look. I don’t know if that’s the way it was or if you added some color to the background.

Nice image Allen. I like the “hanging on for dear life” look. The color tones all complement each other. Sharp eye.

Very nice, but something seems to be going on with the BG, most noticeable in the largish leaf just below the wingtip. Maybe it was really that way but it looks odd, like some sort of processing glitch.

Thanks everyone for commenting. Diane, the leaf below the wingtip is pretty much what came out of the camera, though I did decrease the background highlights in LR. Should I just remove it? Dennis, the background was a mixture of dried grass and some remaining green stalks. Maybe decreasing the highlights gives it that muddy look.

The decreased highlights might be it, Allen. It does tend to bring the tones together. This time of year there could well be dust on leaves as well.

The rest of the BG is unusual and very pleasing, with a nice flow, but that one leaf is a bit odd. Might pay to look at a slightly different processing, or some masking. The leaf at the very top is quite nice – a bit more up there might be good if you have it.

Not much else to say Allen, Great Image. Frame it again in wood and hang it. I like the hint of green in the BG and leaves. Thanks
