Last December when returning from Death Valley, I encountered a snow storm about 2 1/2 hours from home and was forced to get a hotel room for the night. I set out for home the next morning and decided to stop in at Odell Lake. The whole place looked like a winter wonderland. Unfortunately, since I was returning from DV, I didn’t have my snow boots or down jacket, so couldn’t stay out in the snow long.
