I like this image. The dark bark against the high-key everything-else is eye catching.

This is a wonderful image. Everything works. The low-key setting sets the mood and moves this image into the realm of art, not just a document.
Looking at the larger view, the light sky through the canopy grabbed my eye. Everyone has different feelings about image editing. If you view this as art and are not trying to say this is what I saw, you could clone the sky out with the yellow trees.
Again, this is my vision. May not be yours.
