The Black and white works well for this image Jaapv. I love the “perch”. The line of grass or reed tops in the background tend to pull my eye a little so you might want to consider toning them down a bit.

Thanks. I think you are right. I’ll burn the tops of the reeds in a bit. B&W was no choice I happened to have the lens on my monochrome camera and did not have time to switch to my colour body 
Nice black and white Jaapv. Nicely composed and I like all the texture shown on the elephant. Bird contrasts nicely with his perch.
