About This Image
We were driving around in Bandhavgarh National Park searching for interesting wildlife and tigers. We had seen a tiger back in the brush but nothing close. We then rounded a corner and were delighted to see this beautiful cat. He was just relaxed and seemed to be looking out over his kingdom. Very regal. It was quite enjoyable just to sit for awhile and enjoy. Definitely a treat.

I would expect the reflection in the water to mostly match the scene on top. But I see foliage in the water that doesn’t appear on top. The leaves in the background on top don’t appear in the reflection. Was there something odd about the topography?
Don, thank you, that is a great observation. I didn’t even notice the discrepancy. I will review my editing and see if I can figure it out. I am a bit new to editing and processing my photos and I really appreciate all of your comments and feedback.
Simply gorgeous. Though I suppose more green in the frame would help the tiger pop even more, the fallen leaves do add a lovely complementary tone instead.
Another buck list photograph. Great color and eye contact. The reflection is a bonus. As for framing, I think you could look at adding some more room on the right side of the frame and taking off some on the bottom of the frame. The Tigers’ head and eyes are what are important and losing some of the grass would help the photograph.
Beautiful setting, great subject and reflection too, I love them all. Somehow, I’m more happy with the original post.
@Don_Peters I was waiting for someone to answer your question, since it didn’t happen so here we are.
You don’t see foliage in the reflection because you are seeing the foliage from eye level but reflection of grasses you see is from water level. And tiger is sitting not very far from POV.
