Peter, I think they could be Gadwalls.

Hi Peter. I’m pretty sure they’re Gadwalls. Nice catch to get the two together and both giving you some eye contact, though I wish there was a bit more separation between them and that the tide had been in enough to hid the the mud on the bank. Excellent focus and exposure.
