Leopards in a tree revised

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

This leopard and cub in a tree in Botswana. Low light so the ISO was high. I like the framing of the tree but maybe needs more crop?

Specific Feedback

What would make this better?

Technical Details

Sony 200- 600 lens at 400 MM shot at 1/2000 F6.7 ISO 8000 hand held.

Great look at this cat and kitten Phil. I really like the frame of the branches, the open mouth and the teeth of momma showing. I might think about selectively toning down and maybe blurring the bright BG just a bit.

It is beautifully framed, you may crop off some canvas at the bottom.
Mother leopard has beautiful expressions but somehow brught BG is not very supportive.

Phil, you have captured some lovely interaction here. Mom’s expression is priceless.
I think cropping in on the right would frame the cats better; all that tree seems excessive. Then, darkening that bright BG would focus attention on these beautiful cats. Minor alterations to a very appealing image.
