"Little Buck"

This is one of this year’s fawns and it’s half a gain the size of any oof the others we’ve seen this year. If you look closely, you can see that it has antler bumps already. He and his mother were under a birch tree in our front yard the other day but he had his head down most of the time. I managed to catch him trotting along the edge of our mowed area catching up with his mother and get a couple of decent shots. It was a very foggy morning so I was using auto-iso.

Sony A1, FE200-600 + 1.4 TC @ 449 mm, tripod with gimbal head, f/9, 1/1250, iso 12800, manual with auto iso. Processed in LR & PS CC. Cropped to 7392x4986. Removed a fence post that was in a very distracting spot and a dark blob of something from the neighbor’s yard in the upper left. Taken September 23rd at 8:03 AM.

Very nice to catch him in action. A nice 3D effect too. Personally I would like a bit more saturated colours - a matter of taste. A pity about the structures in the background.
