Laura, the contrast between the foreground mix of live and dead trees and the ridgeline of “sticks” is eye catching. The overcast sky adds nicely to a scene where there’s mix of feelings; sadness about the big burn, joy over the good recovery with the new snow and a pleasant quietness.
