Description

On my Oregon coast trip I took a couple of days to explore the Redwoods. I indulged myself one morning on the Avenue of the Giants and walked back into the forest just soaking up the silence amongst these majestic trees. I was attracted to the textures and structures on the trunks and the filtered light sneaking through the canopy. >=))>

Specific Feedback

I left the foliage in the LRC for scale and context. Some AI cleanup might make it go away but I like the image as is. Your thoughts?

Wonderful! These huge old trees are amazing and a target-rich environment. The foliage doesn’t bother me as I know how difficult it is to avoid, but for me it’s not really contributing anything, either. I love the textures and colors on the bark!

Hi Bill,
This had to be amazing to witness first hand while taking in the grandeur of these impressive trees. That little bit of light adds so much to the image and I love the textures and details of the redwood bark. The greenery does not bother me for the reasons you already mentioned. Hope to see some more from the redwood grove.

Jedediah Smith SP, E of Crescent City, is another amazing redwood forest. Any redwood forest, anywhere, is one of my soul places.

That’s a redwood view you don’t see too often, and you caught a nice moment with the light dappling the side. I like it with the greenery for just the reason you mention.

These giants make me think about the passage of time, and wonder at all the seasons and events that led the tree to today. This captures that nicely with the details of this vignette.
