The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.
Description
I have been fortunate enough to have visited the Pacific Northwest on three different occasions and have been enthralled by the old growth forests in that region. Very few old growth trees remain. These forests are beautiful everywhere you look but finding a composition in the chaos of a forest scene I find difficult to do. To me, this tree is like a sentinel standing guard over this location. Very peaceful in the early morning light.
Specific Feedback
There are a lot of different ways I could have composed this image. I could have cropped out more of the ferns in the foreground, but I like how they framed the bottom of the image, so I left it in. I like the subtle light and the different textures and shades of green.
Technical Details
Shot at 48mm, f14, 1.3 sec, ISO 64. Post processed in Adobe LRC and PS.

Very nice. Light in the background gives the scene depth. Perhaps could have used a bit more darkening at the bottom of the ferns, a sort of “half vignette” to stack it a little more.
Wonderfully spiritual light. I also like how the image goes from warm above to cool below. I might bring down the hotspots in the central left. Although they do serve a purpose with the light streaming diagonally across the image.
I like this image a lot. What a mood! The only thing I might look at is to see what slightly dodging the growths on the big, dark trunk would look like. Just a smidge?
Wow, is this nice!!! That big beautiful old growth tree looks like it’s lit from heaven above. Exquisite light. The fog in the background reduces the intrusion of the forest and softens the light hitting the tree letting that big tree have all the glory.
I love that you kept the foreground ferns. It’s like they are paying homage to the Old Growth Sentinel. The ferns growing on the tree trunk catching the fall colored leaves is simply amazing.
You handled the colors perfectly. I like the oranges of the fall colored leaves and the greens look quite natural to me. I suppose you could burn down the leaves and I think an old stump just to the left of the base of the tree as they stand out and are quite bright but more than that they are missing the warmth that the other spot lit greens have to them. I think that’s my only nit. This is superb in all respects. Here is a quick redo:
