Original Version

My favourite with the strong narrative, although a little centrally placed
Looks great printed although it was only taken 2 days ago

zoom in - nice but its just another DF shot - the detail from the wider shot

About This Image

Out walking by canal yesterday - DF’s were not very friendly but managed this one.

I think I prefer the first, longer shot - tells the story of the late afternoon sunlight, light catching the wings and shooting into the sun again produces the expected Bokeh, rather commonly overdone but nice?

Feedback Requested

usual stuff, narrative comes across?
tech stuff of course and distractions, crop etc (I have tried a reduced crop somewhere between the two crops but I haven’t found one I like . They tend to lose some of the RUC Bokeh to get the DF less central - but end up feeling more cramped. I end up feeling central is ok as it really tells the story of the DF in the evening sun).
Please suggest a crop if you see one

I don’t really want a DF specimen shot, I’m trying to give more a feel of the late afternoon spent waiting … waiting…

..then this DF passed by..

Huw: The original works for me pretty much as is. The stuff in the LLC serves as a complement and offsets the centered subject. cropping that away makes the image less interesting. The second is a fine record shot and I don’t mean that in a disparaging way; it’s just not as compelling. .=))>
