Morning Mare

The horses were out in the pasture early Sunday. This was taken around 8:15am as the sun was just coming over the trees. I like how the sun lights up the side of the face and how the horse is framed with the bush and fence. How can I make this better? Is there too much clutter with the foliage around the horse

I like the sidelighting, Brian. The sunlit parts of the fence on the left tend to draw my eye, so though the fence makes a nice framing element, the brightness is a bit of a drawback for me. As far as the foliage goes, the brighter out-of-focus elements in the foreground do seem to be a bit of a distraction, though I like the in-focus elements on the right. A sweet looking horse and a good image, Brian.
