Morning Reflections

While it might look easy to shoot, Spanish Moss will make you crazy trying to get a perfect rendition of it. This particular morning up in the swamp, while it looked cool backlit by the sun, it looked really cool in a reflected manner.

The hardest part of making this shot was waiting for the boat’s ripples to calm down.

Composite: No
D810, 200-500 @200mm, f/9, 1/160, ISO 64

Pretty much SOOC, save a light and dark TK mask at about 25% on each.

Chris, this is a great use of reflection. The details in the reflections look very good and the change from heavy foliage to bare snag works well.

Fantastic! Wonderful still water was worth the wait. My only tiny nit is to wish for a bit more room on the left – easy to add a bit of canvas there if you’re into that sort of nefarious manipulation.
