We were lucky to find this endangered species on my most recent Ecuador photo tour, it hung around the lodge area for a few days.

Superb detail in the Tapir and a great setting, Nate. If you’re not entering this in a no-clone contest, you might think about removing that relatively bright out-of-focus arc on the right.
Certainly looks different from the two species I’ve seen. Interesting coloration. Nate, what’s going on with the left ear? Was it torn in the middle? I’m trying to make sense of the shape on that side of the face.
