The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.
Description
I like the setting with the moss, lichen and gnarly branches and the dove gave me a nice head turn.
After going back over the image I thought it might be better with more light on the dove.
Specific Feedback
Any thoughts appreciated.

The wrap around perch is very nice and the colors of the scene are subdued, but play nice together. I wish that there were more details present on the subject and getting the bird bigger in the frame would have removed a lot of that interesting perch. Comp and exposure are very nice and the dove’s color separates it well from the surrounding BG. …Jim
Those great branches frame the bird wonderfully. I agree with @Jim_Zablotny about brightening the bird a little; I feel if you only brighten the bird and not the rest (or at least not the immediate BG of the bird), then the resulting shot would be optimal. It’s beautiful!
I love the perch this bird found, Allen. Personally I prefer the original rendition as the repost feels a bit too bright, particularly along the edge of the breast. Living in this area, that perch is so evocative of the deciduous forest areas that it would be great in itself, but the dove definitely adds to the scene.
Jim, this is superb! That perch is so unusual and so striking. Talk about character? Wow! That background is superb as well. The pose of the bird and the head turn is top notch. My only wish is that you had moved about a foot or two to your left so that the back of the bird wasn’t hitting the perch putting it in the middle of that window he’s sitting in.
I like the repost but I think you may have pushed it a little too far. I might like something in between the two. Great work on finding and capturing this one Jim!!!
Hi Allen
I’m going with the re-post. Although the perch and background work will with the original post, adding more light on the Dove makes this a better photograph.
