Image Description

No special story behind the creation of this image. However, I do find that with water abstracts, ISO is non-issue since LR’s Denoise function works so well. This was created at ISO 12800 and Denoise smoothed in out with a great result.

Gorgeous!! Wonderful light and shapes, well processed! Have you thought about a subtle gradient darkening from the UR corner? That might focus attention down to the lower area a bit without losing the lovely detail up there. Just an idle thought.

Restful. It makes me feel restful and well being. I like all my green foliage prints. I can look at them forever without tiring. So, the color and those flowing shapes give me that feeling. The blue shapes exiting the frame at the bottom draws the eye lower and that’s too bad because the best stuff is in the upper half. I would crop just above the lowest blue shape. Just below the bright area.

Matt, lovely rhythmic abstract image! Wonderful calming colors and interesting shapes. Some of the patterns remind me of feathers. I also like the light in the photo.

I agree with Igor on cropping off a bit from the bottom. This will help focus the eye to the more interesting patterns above.

I get a feeling of gentle flow. Like lazily floating down a slow river with my fingers dangling in the water. The texture looks like feather, too. The only nit I see is that brownish bit in the LRC. Maybe clone some green over it, if you’re so inclined.

I could see flipping it vertically, so the blue bits are at the top and the angle of the ripples is going up to the right.

Very pleasing image. This looks like fabric to me. It’s soft, yet dynamic. The colors are both cool and warm at the same time. The only problem I see is the brown area in the LR corner.

@Diane_Miller , @Igor_Doncov @Alfredo_Mora @Bonnie_Lampley @Chris_Baird Thank you all for your generous and thoughtful comments and suggestions.

Rather than modify the original image, I saw that another take from the day satisfied many of your suggestions so I processed it similarly. I like it more. I don’t mind the bits of blue and think they give it depth beyond the simple green palette.

I’d be interested in any further comments if you’re so inclined. Thanks again.

I think both are marvelous!! You might have a very nice set or triptych or the like from this day. These are both unique, peaceful and very delightful.

Very kind of you to say, @Diane_Miller. Thank you. I was pleasantly surprised how much I came to value these couple of images from that day.

And congratulations on the EP!! So well-deserved!!
