Ben: An interesting concept and a product of what I call photographic vision. I’ll often have folks come up to me while shooting and ask what I’m shooting. When I show them the screen they’ll often comment that they never thought about getting an image from what I’ve seen. I suspect the same thing would have happened to you hear. Well seen, conceived and captured. >=))>
Thank you again for your valuable comment as always Bill. To make the story compleet. There is a witch on the flower stem (broomstick). but that I saw later. Hope you can see it too.
I don’t see a witch, but I’ve always liked playing with shadows whether from flowers, leaves, ferns or what have you, so I like where you’re going with this. Maybe getting the bloom and the shadow closer would be a more effective composition, this feels a bit stretched and random to me, which I know is not your approach at all. Hm…maybe moving around to try different angles would be interesting. Either way, keep 'em coming!
An interesting juxtaposition, Ben. It has a bit of a film noir feel to me even though it’s in color. The wall the shadow’s on adds a lot of interest to the image and the bright light on the flower gives it a high contrast feel that goes with that feel.
