Nice catch, Balan. It looks like there might have been a touch of motion blur, but they’re usually beating their wings pretty fast in this position.
Balan, this is a good catch as the North American Kingfishers are rarely still, move fast and are hard to approach. The bird’s back is decently sharp, with just a touch of motion in the wing tips. You got reasonably close.
