Nice timing on the display, David. You have a good pose and feather details. I like your inclusion of the pin. A bit more room on the LHS I think would work better. But knowing the restrictions working with prime glass in a blind, removing the extender was likely not practical or possible. But even so, should you choose, seems it would be easy to add canvas over there.

Beautiful pose and excellent detail, Dave. I like the low point of view as well. I agree with Bill that a touch more room on the left would be nice though content aware on the rings can be tricky. I like the proportions, so you could also add a touch to the top to keep this aspect ratio.

Do they have dedicated photo blinds at Sacramento?

Very nice shot of one of my favorite ducks. I love this pose that shows all the bands of color in the wings. The tail peeking out of the water is a plus. No nits here.

I like the pose and the details…angle is very nice, I wish he had a better head angle.

They have 2 at Sac, and one each at Delvan and Colusa. They are currently available through an annual draw. Check the sac Refuge webpage for application details.

Thanks, Dave.

A great catch on this pose, David. The details in the duck and the water drops on its head and falling from it’s wings are fine added details. This looks good as presented.

Really nice light and plumage color and display. Unlike the wing position. Agree with other opinions about the crop.
