Olive-sided Flycatcher

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

Thought I’d post this as it’s probably not a bird commonly seen and this one gave me a nice look. They tend to perch on the top of something, generally a tree.

Specific Feedback

Any thoughts appreciated

Nice job, Allen. Most of the flycatchers are tough to get and this is a really nice image. I like the pose a lot and it doesn’t look like too steep a shooting angle, particularly for this kind of bird.

Hi Allen, I can never ID these family of birds so this is a treat knowing what it is and so well captured in this image. Nice sharpness throughout. Agree it is a common pose for this species looking over their domain looking for bugs.
