Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

these guys are pretty cute but getting them in the right light is a little difficult When you are under the trees in the mountains. They were pretty much hanging out with the white breasted nuthatches in the same locale.

Looks pretty darn perfect to me!

Thanks for your appreciation.

David - a Sweet little bird on a great perch! The eye is pretty dark and vacant; I bet you coud reclaim some detail with a little selective levels adjustment and sat increase.
Nice catch!

Beautiful detail in the plumage on this one, David. I like the pose and the delicate grip on the sunflower seed.

Awesome light and excellent background, David. Great that you were able to catch it with something in its beak. Well done.

Very nice, with the seed being a bonus and the perch very interesting. The processing here has avoided the issues the last one had. It’s artist’s choice but I feel the blacks don’t need to be so dark. At that low ISO there is probably information in the eye. I would clone or crop the two OOF things right along the bottom border.

Hi David
The sunflower seed is a plus and the overall look of the Nuthatch good. The bark eye is ok, my only very small nit is the highlights on the rights side.
Nice photograph.
Peter

Nice look at this one. Good pose with the seed and nice perch and background.
