Open space all the way to the North Pole

I have been fortunate to make several trips to Iqaluit, Nunavut, Canada and have time to be on this remarkable landscape. It is full of life, tiny trees, stunning shrubs and flowers, and lots of birds, insects, and mammals. Not so many humans. Glacial erratics abound. One could walk as far north as you wanted, literally to the North Pole, as First Nation people have done for centuries. I never made it more than a few miles each day, my mind blown away by the beauty and vastness of it all.
