Oxbow Bend Sunrise Pano

Last Fall, I got down to Oxbow Bend very early to grab a good spot for sunrise. Well worth the time as the trees were at peak beauty. As the sun rose and all the foreground trees were lit up I grabbed this pano. I liked the still in shadow pines on the left side with the beautiful trees lit perfectly in front of them. The two swans at the shore line made it even better. One shot is nice but the panoramic opportunities here make the scene pop in my opinion.

Beautiful Pano, Andrew. Beautiful light, bright and clear sky that balances nicely with the trees. Great work on the processing too. Well done. I’ve always wanted to shoot there in the fall…haven’t made it yet…

Looks great and you’re right about this spot being suited for a panorama. I love the gold tones!

This is a classic panoramic composition. I particularly like the dark sloping mountain on the left. That tonal exclamation point adds much to the image even though it doesn’t seem to be a point of interest.
