Excellent tutorial @Keith_Bauer! This does a great job of showing one of the big benefits of smart objects for sure. Not needing to flatten layers, merge layers or delete/remake cloning and/or filter layers all the time is HUGE! The ability to transform, warp and liquify without flattening layers and masks is also a great side effect.
