I’ve been learning the habits of the local wildlife on my weekend morning walks in a provincial park close to my home. The deer are somewhat habituated to people but definitely not tame and will take off if you make sudden movements or approach them. It was a warm spring morning and this buck walked fairly close as I was sitting on the edge of the meadow. You can see the new growth of the antlers.
