About This Image

We have many hibiscus in our garden and as the temperatures cool just a tiny bit they tend to start blooming after being a little dormant and sluggish in the summer. On occasion we also get a mutant like this with the extra petals seeming to grow out of the anther and stigma. I also liked the color of this one. >=))>

Feedback Requested

I did apply a mild Orton effect to give the flower a little extra boost and subdued the BG a bit as well.

Lovely, Bill. I find flower mutations fascinating. It’s like it knew the end was near, so no need for anther and stigma, just a bit more beauty for the season. The colors are wonderful. That blush pink and magenta with a hint of antique yellow around the very edges.

Nicely done.

Beautiful, Bill. The processing is first rate. Out of all the thousands of hibiscus I’ve seen @ Longwood, I’ve never seen that. .
