Description
This past January, I visited Sri Lanka. The market in this town was unusual in that it was covered and it was also filled with smoke. As I walked through the market I saw that the origin of the smoke came from a woman who was burning incense. Just as I approached her, she clasped her hands and closed her eyes for a few seconds.
When she finished her prayer, I showed her the image. Amazingly, thanked me for having taken the image.
Specific Feedback
Any and all is welcome. I cropped the image to about 75% of its original size, added a vignette and warmed the subject a bit. The bags behind her were bright white and I changed the color to a light yellow to make them less obtrusive.
Technical Details
Canon R5 and 35 mm lens at 1/125, f/4 and Auto ISO 200

Excellent image, Richard. You caught a very interesting moment. The expression on her face is open to a lot of interpretation. I can see the prayer, but there also seems to be some pain and the juxtaposition of those two makes for a more poignant image. Good move on the color of the bags and I like the contrast of the digital scale.
Beautiful image, great moment. I can repeat the comment made by @Dennis_Plank .
The reaction of the woman shows, that she felt that your intentions were sincere.
Richard, I can relate to this,..am from the region, but not the country, and we share same culture. Your image depicts a typical morning ritual in any of these shops in the marketplace.
Richard, this is an absolute beautiful picture. It is so incredible real. I can almost feel her prayers. I love the smoke of the incense in the back…and all of the veggies. I just love this picture. For me, it is a dream to have the opportunity to take pictures like this. Wonderful capture.
